Caffeine can increase your metabolism rate by 13 percent on every 4.5 mg per pound of body weight. This means 680 mg of caffeine or 7 cups of coffee for a person with a weight of 150 pounds. Consumption of caffeine helps to improve body weight maintenance and weight loss.
