It is available as a dietary supplement for minimizing blood cholesterol and triglycerides.

Several studies have shown that Pantethine supplements are used for lowering cholesterol levels and triglycerides in individuals who have diabetes or high levels of lipoproteins in the blood (hyperlipoproteinemia).

Besides lowering cholesterol, it is also beneficial for reducing inflammation, improving the activity of your immune system, treating an inherited issue known as cystinosis, treating gastrointestinal (GI) disorders, and stimulating athletic performance.

Physiological Effects of Pantethine

Cysteamine is bind to and so, inactivate sulfur-comprising amino acids in liver enzymes included in the formation of cholesterol and triglycerides. It is confirmed that high doses of the linked vitamin - pantothenic acid has no effect on lipids, but pantethine has.
